Jillian’s First Joyride
I would like to share something that came into my mind that Jillian Margaret, my first ever pamangkin, first rode a car with me driving it. She was born last October and when she and her mom Joana was discharged from the hospital, I’m the one who brought them home. It also made me realize that my load at that time was the four generations of our family: Inay (my grandma), Mama (my mom), Joanne (my sister), and Jillian (my niece). Visit our family site to see more photos and videos of Jillian.
South Park is an animated comedy series well-known for its toilet humor (meaning it’s not for kids) presenting pop culture parody and political satires. Other countries are being ridiculed in the show too. Oh no! Will it be another Desperate Housewives, The Daily Show, or Jimmy Kimmel Live for Filipinos? I’m now addicted with the show especially that I am almost updated with the regular airings of South Park. Almost because I do not live in America and I only depend on sites that stream South Park episodes (same thing as Bleach anime, I don’t live in Japan… ooops!) so there’s an hour/day delay. Jack TV airs South Park here in the Philippines but they keep on replaying the episodes and they are taking time before they release new seasons. There’s no assurance that I’ll be able to complete the episodes with that. Reason Magazine had an interview with the creators of South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker about downloading their episodes.
RM: When it looked like Comedy Central wasn’t going to rerun the Mary episode, people were still able to download it illegally online. Did you see that as a victory for free speech, or did you think, “My God, these people are stealing our intellectual property”?
Stone: We’re always in favor of people downloading. Always.
RM: Why?
Stone: It’s how a lot of people see the show. And it’s never hurt us. We’ve done nothing but been successful with the show. How could you ever get mad about somebody who wants to see your stuff?
Parker: We worked really hard making that show, and the reason you do it is because you want people to see it.
I admired the show for its creativity, humor, the voices, and its cutout animation. "You know, I’ve learned something today" has been my favorite catchphrase followed by the boys of South Park’s realization on the issue in an episode.

Matt Stone and Trey Parker
I can’t imagine how the creators can still come up with lots of philosophical ideas considering South Park has been in the air for ten years now. See how they make fun of themselves on the video below. It is from the DVD version where episodes begin with a fireside chat with Matt and Trey.
Power Rangers SPD
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is one of my most watched TV show when I was a kid and my favorite rangers were Green Ranger and White Ranger. I had a Green Ranger action figure when I was young and there were lots of imaginations running in my mind about Power Rangers at that time.
I’m not a retard to be hooked to Power Rangers now that I am 22 but there’s a new generation of rangers called Power Rangers SPD shown in Cartoon Network that caught my attention. I’m not really an avid viewer of the show but I’m watching it if I’ve got the chance to. I’ve found out that the new Power Rangers evolved from episodic (where it always starts from a monster bringing terror, rangers will come out to fight, the monster will grow larger, the rangers summoning their zords or the robot they use against larger monsters, and results to the defeat of the enemy) to series. They are inter-gallactic police similar to Shaider or its Filipino gay version Zaido and serve as Earth’s defense to planet-conquering empires. There had been lots of new incarnations of the Power Rangers but only the SPD intrigues me. Nice costumes too, they can transform to SWAT mode giving more power to their arsenal. It just made me think that kids today were very fortunate to be exposed to a more creative TV shows. SPD is followed by Power Rangers: Mystic Force but this one’s not cool because their powers came from some kind of magical world like how Filipino superheroes are depicted on TV. Bakit ba kelangang lahat ng superheroes ng mga Pinoy ay may lahing engkanto? Anyway, I’m too old to be interested with these Power Ranger things. It’s morphin’ time! (!?!)
Sin Min-hee
There was this koreanovela called Love Truly that aired in GMA7. The female main character in the series has a sister portrayed by a beautiful and sexy actress that fascinates me. Her name is Sin Min-hee… I made some research on her and there’s just few details about her. Her birthday is on February 22, 1986, obviously she’s a female, then her occupation: actress. What is on her filmography is just the Love Truly drama series.
Strangebrew
Ang show na may tama. I first saw this TV show when I was about to graduate in high school or maybe during my first year in college. It was first shown in Channel 4 (NBN). It is a reality comedy show, though it also includes scripted sketches. It features Tado as himself and Angel Rivero as Erning (Tado’s driver). They interview various people about their work or ask them how things are made, often in a factory. They also feature different places and they would ask the caretakers or administrators about the place. They ask informative questions on them but due to the nature of the show, they also include silly questions. Some of their overused questions are "If your life story is to be made as a movie, who do you want to be the actor/actress on your role?" another one is "What is your unforgettable experience in your work?" or if they are in a pencil factory, they would ask "If you are a pencil, what kind of pencil are you and why?". Erning used to speak tama or "correct" in English often in the show as an expression even if she means "alright" or "yes". Strangebrew is directed by R.A. Rivera.
I like the way they insert clips for example if someone mentioned Japanese, there will be an old video during the Japanese occupation that will be inserted. There was this one episode that a manager of a factory said that they are in QC then an image of Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City is inserted. But what the manager means of QC is "quality control" area. I also like the way Erning laugh, especially at Tado. There are large captions appearing that highlight important words but sometimes words being captioned are insignificant things that are being mentioned or ganyan which means "that" or "like that". Tado is also good with his punchlines and being pilosopo. Ramon Bautista who portrays minor characters is also good. I also like the background music being used in the show.
I made a playlist of the Strangebrew episodes uploaded by cool people who manage to have the videos. It will not show you just one episode, but the entire season. You may select episode by clicking the button with 3 squares below. Hopefully, the episodes will be completed in the future.

Keiko Kitagawa
I first saw her in Tokyo Drift, the Japanese girl in Sean and Han’s group. She only had few exposures but her charm is very noticable. I like her beauty, she’s cute and sexy IMO. I found out that she also played Sailor Mars in the live series of Sailor Moon in TV. She also appeared in Dear Friends but the only thing I know about that series is a story of friendship between a Japanese and a Korean girl. Keiko is just a year younger than me.
Bleach themes by Yui
Going back to Bleach, I’ve found these music videos of Yui’s songs that were used in the opening and closing of some Bleach episodes. I got here "Rolling Star" (opening) and "Life" (ending). Though her songs are in Japanese, it is obvious that Yui is talented and her voice is cute. Nevertheless, I don’t have much infos about her. Because of my addiction to Bleach and the artist is pretty, I added the videos in my YouTube favorites. See the videos below.

Happy birthday to me
